About the event
A annual forum for all seniors which provides information and advice on how to avoid the pitfalls of financial, legal, physical, emotional, and all other forms of abuse in our senior years.
This annual event is hosted by Speak Up Now - Stop Domestic and Family Violence (Maleny & Blackall Range) support and advocacy group and is supported by the QPS Vulnerable Persons Unit, the Suncoast Community Legal Service, Centacare DV Service, and the Relationships Australia Elders Team.
Representatives will be available for a Q&A session after a digitised play about Enduring Powers of Attorney and related documents and how easily they can be abused, as well as the ability to speak one on one with these professionals.
This is a FREE event being held at the Maleny Uniting Church at 9am to Midday. Morning tea is also provided. RSVP’s requested for catering purposes to speakupnowstopdomesticviolence@gmail.com.
